I believe that if I owe somebody or company a legitimate debt then I should make every effort to pay it. If a company or individual violates the law in their dealings with me I feel it is my obligation to hold them accountable for their indiscretions. I have never been directly obligated to a collection agency and have decent credit.
I am not advocating that any visitor should take any actions that I may take or have taken. I make my own decisions under my own free will and am willing to accept responsibility for my actions. This site is my sounding board.
I am a father to five children and a grandfather of one. My personal finances have received two very hard hits in the recent past. One due to a severe economic impact directly tied to 9-11-01 and the other due to a child being born four years later with a severe birth defect with no warning or insurance. I would not want to trade places with any family that lost loved ones on 9-11-01 nor would I trade my child for a perfect one. These are not justifications they are the circumstances I find myself in.
